1930's Japanese Satsuma Incense Burners

1930's Japanese Satsuma Incense Burners

£30.00

Designed by using the "moriage" technique, a raised enamel decoration used to create a textured, three-dimensional effect on the surface. You'll see guardian lions handles (now worn), and a domed lid topped with a similar figure. The body is hand-painted with scenes depicting immortals or geishas.

Note: One Burner has a small nick on the rim (resulting in a discounted price) but no doubt continues to be a statement piece.
